Fortnite Mega - Chapter 4 Season 2 tips & tricks!

New updated map

The entire southeastern area of the map has been replaced with a new bluish biome in the Mega season. The central point of this biome is Mega City, which is a city with skyscrapers, neon lights, and gliding rails that allows players to engage in action while attacking enemies from above. The rails wind around the sky in Mega City, so it's important to keep an eye out for competitors on the ground.

In addition to Mega City, there are several other new areas, including Steamy Springs, Kenjutsu Crossing, and Knotty Nets. The new biome also includes many landmark locations, such as Drift Ridge in the north, Coldwater Sanctuary Island which is accessible by zipline, and Windcatching Lake located on top of a hill.

New weapons

With the new season of Fortnite comes a range of new weaponry to choose from in your battles. The standout weapon is undoubtedly the Kinetic Blade, which is a katana that functions as a melee weapon with far greater capabilities than a standard sword. In addition to being able to slice through opponents quickly, it also has a dash attack that allows you to move rapidly towards your target, rendering their long-range weapons useless.

If you prefer firearms, there are also new options available. The Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle is a silenced automatic weapon that is highly accurate and effective for attacking your opponents. Alternatively, you can opt for the Havoc Pump Shotgun if you want a weapon with more power.

One particularly exciting weapon is the Overclocked Pulse Rifle, which appears to be a Mythic-only weapon that you will need to seek out in order to use.

Find as much ammo as possible

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 features several weapons, including the Overclocked Pulse Rifle and Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle, that consume ammunition at an alarming rate. During a heated battle, it's common for players to utilize more than 200 bullets within seconds. That's why it's essential to ensure a sufficient reserve of ammo at all times.

Once the landing phase is complete, players should proactively search for all types of ammunition and gather as much as possible. Even if it's not immediately necessary, it's always preferable to have a substantial reserve available for emergency situations. This strategy can also prove beneficial when playing in Duos, Trios, or Squads mode.

Take advantage of the new vehicles

As the new MEGA City features wide streets, it's essential to have vehicles that can easily navigate them, and the latest season of Fortnite provides players with a couple of options that blend perfectly with the setting.

One such option is the Victory Crown Rogue, or "Rogue Bike," which emphasizes high acceleration and sharp turning, making it a fantastic vehicle for quick getaways. Additionally, there is the Nitro Drifter, a four-seater car that is designed to drift around corners, as the name suggests.

Choose Reality Augments that suit your playstyle

Reality Augments are temporary buffs that players can select during a Fortnite match to gain an advantage. With many options available, it's crucial to find the ones that best fit your playstyle. While it may cost gold bars to re-roll and experiment with different combinations of Reality Augments, the investment is worthwhile.

For example, if a player relies on using ARs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, they can create a powerful Reality Augment combination by utilizing Medium Ammo Amp and Munitions Slide. The former increases the magazine size of weapons that use medium-ammo, while the latter allows players to acquire medium-ammo while sliding.

Use stealth when trying to snipe opponents

Using the Heavy Sniper effectively in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 demands a great deal of skill and patience. Simply taking out the weapon and firing at an opponent during combat is likely to result in them dodging the shot. With the new 'Glint' feature, it's also easy for opponents to identify when someone is using the weapon.

Therefore, it's advisable to approach the target as quietly as possible when attempting to snipe. Only when the target is in a suitable position should you take out the Heavy Sniper and aim down the sight. To avoid the 'Glint' being detected, try to aim and shoot as quickly as possible.
