Intro
Travian is a browser based, multi-player game developed by a German software company, Travian Games. There are various versions of the game that are available. For starters, a regular game world would be recommended at x1 speed. This game is usually played over several months. The game has many interesting features and deep mechanics that makes it quite fun to play. For some people, it might be overwhelming at first but with the following tips and tricks, you will be able to get through the first steps.
Early Game
The main aim is to create a second village in the early stages. the reason for doing this is to be able to establish a village in an ideal location with appropriate resource fields that suit your gameplay.
Completing the task list, since the rewards from each of the tasks are significant. The sooner the tasks are completed, the sooner you get your second village. Try not to waste resource rewards, either spend some to make room or go for an upgrade.
Join an alliance as soon as possible. Since the game is a community based game and no player is successful on their own, it’s best to know the alliances in your area and make a decision on who you would like to team up with. If you are lucky enough
Try to capture nature troops. At the beginning of the game, nature units are highly valuable. Every unit has different strengths and specializations. The most powerful being the elephant. Since it is very rare to see one, if you do try to catch it. The second best would be the crocodile, since it has the highest defence statistics against infantry.
Against farming
1. Make sure to use your beginner’s protection carefully. Also remember that the beginner’s protection can be extended by three days.
2. Keep a check on your cranny capacity and make sure it is higher than your resources so that your enemy is not bale to gain anything by raiding you.
3. Remember, a player without an alliance attracts is an attractive target.
4. Try to build enough scouts to be able to defeat enemy scouts.
5. Be the farmer, not the farm. Create a list of your own and try to remember the villages you are able to attack. After you have raided them, make not of how many resources you were able to earn. If you were able to earn a high return then that means that village would be a good farm target for the future.
